There is a need for interested citizens to step forward to run for town offices. As of today, there are no candidates running for Cemetery Commissioner, and there is only one contested position up for election in March. Petitions are available at the Town Clerk’s office:

Auditor – 3-year term - Judy Billard is running. (Incumbent Debbie Ramsdell is not.)
Cemetery Commissioner – 3-year term – Incumbent Dan Cole is running.
Cemetery Commissioner – 2-year term – No one is running.
Cemetery Commissioner – 1-year term – No one is running.
CVU School Director – 3-year term – Richard Hess is running. (Incumbent Dottie Waller is not.)
CCS School Director – 3-year term – Sue Thibault is running. (Incumbent Patrice Machavern is running for 2-year term.)
CCS School Director – 2-year term – Patrice Machavern and Mike Cazayoux are running. (Incumbent Sue Thibault is running for 3-year term.)
Library Trustee – 5-year term – Vince Crockenberg is running. (Incumbent Lynn Cluff is not.)
Delinquent Tax Collector – 1-year term – Incumbent Mary Mead is running.
Lister – 3-year term – Incumbent Moe Harvey is running.
Moderator – 1-year term – Incumbent Jerry Schwarz is running.
Road Commissioner - 1-year term – Incumbent Hugh Lewis, Jr. is running.
Selectboard – 2-year term - Winslow Ladue is running. (Incumbent Ed Stone is running for 3-year term.)
Selectboard – 3-year term – Ed Stone is running. (Incumbent Winslow Ladue is running for 2-year term.)
Town Agent – 1-year term – Incumbent Edd Merritt is running.
Town Grand Juror – 1-year term – Incumbent Walter Gates is running.
Trustee of Public Funds – 3-year term – Incumbent Dorrice Hammer is running.

Petitions are due in the clerk’s office by Monday, January 25, with at least 30 signatures in order for your name to be placed on the ballot.

Reports for the Town Report also are due no later than Monday, January 25.
