Craft Vendors and Used Books Needed, by Debbie Christie

The East Charlotte Tractor Parade Committee is putting the finishing touches on the plans for this year’s big event. Here are some things they still need:
Craft Vendors: There are a few openings for craft vendors at the Tractor Parade, Sunday, October 9. If you are interested in participating or need more information, call Debbie at 425-3932.
Used Children’s Books are needed for the free book tent. Please drop them off at Spear’s Corner Store or call Debbie 425-3932 to pick up.

Schedule of Events

Friday, October 7: Annual Tractor Parade Kick Off Dance at the Old Lantern, 6-8 p.m. Streak-O-Lean, 8-11 p.m. Starline Rhythm Boys. Admission $10, cash bar and a la carte menu. Info: 425-4444.

Sunday, October 9: 11th Annual East Charlotte Tractor Parade, 1 p.m. Rain or shine, corner of Hinesburg Road and Spear Street. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. and include a farmers market, free children’s activities, barnyard pets, craft exhibits, food and music. Handicap and senior parking available.
