The Charlotte Senior Center, the Creative Space Gallery in Vergennes and the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum all feature the work of Charlotters in their current exhibits.
Sixth Annual Senior Center Art Show – “Faces, Flowers and Faraway Places” – graces the walls of the Great Room all month with representation from area artists ages 50+ of all “mastery” levels.
Through the Lens 2011, an exhibit of local photography, will continue at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum until October 15. A total of 107 images were submitted for judging by 38 photographers. In the Scenic category, Fred Murphy of Charlotte received a 2nd place and honorable mention. Amelia Payne, 7th grader at CCS, received an honorable mention, and her mother, Shirley E. Reid, tied for 2nd place in the High Waters category.
The Creative Space Gallery on Main Street in Vergennes has just opened a new exhibit including the quilted art of M. J. Russell, fiberscapes by Jill Abilock and handblown glass by Bud Shriner, all of Charlotte.
