The Charlotte News is YOUR non-profit community newspaper. We welcome your articles, photographs, signed letters and ideas. If you would like to write an article for The News, please e-mail the finished article or idea to Nancy Wood, Editor, at news@charlottenewsvt.com. We encourage you to send photographs of life, people and happenings in Charlotte. All articles and letters are subject to editing for clarity and length. Please email photos full size (high resolution, 300 dpi preferred) and keep letters to fewer than 300 words. Commentaries are limited in number and length (600-700 words), and should address an issue of local interest. All written submissions that are printed in the newspaper may also be posted on our website.
Deadlines & Publication Schedule: The Charlotte News is published 24 times a year. We come out every other week with two breaks: one in mid-summer and one between Christmas and New Year's. Deadline for articles, photographs, and ads is the Thursday one week prior to the publication date. Letters may be submitted up until 10 a.m. on the Monday prior to publication. Publication dates for 2010 are January 14, January 28, February 11, February 25, March 11, March 25, April 8, April 22, May 6 (House & Garden), May 20, June 3, June 17, July 1, July 15 (regular paper and Mid-Summer Guide), August 12, August 26, September 9, September 23, October 7, October 21, November 4, November 18 (Thanksgiving), December 2 and December 16 (regular paper and Holiday Guide).
