Selectboard Warns Special Meeting for October 6 to Change Solar Site Location on Thompson's Point
October 5, 2011.....

The Selectboard has warned a special meeting for Thursday, Oct. 6, at 7 PM to approve amending the Town’s application to the PSB for the solar installation at Thompson’s Point. The amendment would change the location of the solar trackers from the area near Flat Rock Road to the field that is just west of Lane’s Lane, where it would be less visible from Thompson’s Point Road. The approximate location is 250 ft north of the east-west section of Lane's Lane. The panels would be in three rows in a rectangle roughly 100ft (N-S) by 225ft (E-W). The board will be getting a more precise map from Caleb Elder at AllEarth Renewables soon, but in the meantime Winslow Ladue made the above map of the approximate location. Note that his rectangle is much larger than what is described above.
