School Board Budget Forum October 26 at CCS

The school board is listening. We want to hear our community’s input regarding the upcoming FY12 budget. As many of you know, the Department of Education has issued a spending target for each school district for FY12 under Challenges for Change. To meet this challenge, our budget would be 2 to 4 percent less than our current year’s budget. We invite all Charlotters to attend the first of two public budget forums on Tuesday, October 26, at 7 p.m. in the school’s multipurpose room. We’d like to hear what citizens believe are essential program elements that constitute a quality CCS education. We want to know what areas need additional focus. We’d like to hear ideas about controlling costs while preserving the elements that provide our children with an outstanding education. Please lend your voice to the conversation. Your input is valued.
