The Lake Champlain Waldorf School’s Rummage Sale Bliss will be held on September 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. “Our sale is one of the biggest in the area; we start getting phone calls in the summer from people who want to know when the sale is happening,” says Development Director Lisa Espenshade. The sale will be at the Shelburne campus, 359 Turtle Lane, off Harbor Road. With treasures from over 200 families from the independent school – serving babies through high school – everything anyone could want is there.
There are sporting goods, books, furniture, adult and children clothes and shoes, silver, glass and wicker, and all the household stuff, etc., anyone could imagine. There is a boutique room with higher-end clothing, jewelry, collectables and other items, and another room just for toys.
The Lake Champlain Waldorf School 12th grade senior class will be selling coffee, donuts and refreshments throughout the day.
“Just today, we got a donation of a fab Queen Anne style cherry oval dining room table, chairs and buffet,” exclaimed Kristen DeBellis, a parent at the school. “The chairs have black leather seats and the condition is perfect! Our furniture always goes fast, which is good because school needs to open a couple days after the Rummage Sale and the teachers would not be too happy to have a dining room set in the foyer!”
Doors will open at 9 a.m. sharp; no early birds allowed. Parking, which will be tight, will be at the school with overflow at Davis Park.
The proceeds from the Rummage Sale support the school’s scholarship fund. For more information, please call 985-2827 or e-mail Kristen DeBellis at: kdebellis@lakechamplainwaldorfschool.org
