Basketball season is approaching. Registration for first through sixth graders has begun and will run until November 20. Sign up now! Practices will begin the week of November 30 and the final game day will be February 13. First and second graders will have training practices once or twice a week (depending on coaches and gym space) throughout the season. Third- through sixth-grade teams will practice twice weekly with games usually on Saturday mornings between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The games will be against other town teams. Get more information on the town website or at town hall.
Are you all set and ready for school basketball try outs? Maybe you need a little tune up before hand. Recreation is proud to offer Tune Up basketball camp run by Ute Otley, formerly on Middlebury College Women’s basketball staff and former CCS girl’s basketball coach. It is on November 7 times to be determined. Open to students in grades 5 through 8. The fee for the camp is $45 before November 7 and $55 at the door if space is available.
Charlotte Recreation would like to offer have a Nordic ski club this year. We will be having a meeting during the first week of November. Please contact the Recreation office if you are interested in participating, planning or helping out.
