Property Appraisal Data Collection and Inspection is Underway in the Third and Fourth Quadrants

August 25, 2011, page 3.....
The town data collector is out in the field inspecting properties in the third quadrant and will soon begin in the fourth quadrant. Due to illness last year, some of the third quadrant was not visited, so this year the area to be covered includes Bingham Brook Road, Guinea Road, One Mile Road, Quarter Mile Road, Half Mile Road, Mountain’s Edge, Mount Philo Road (south of Hinesburg Road), Ethan Allen Highway (south of Ferry Road) and all roads south of Ferry Road and west of Ethan Allen Highway. Postcards will be mailed out a week or two ahead of the projected arrival of the data collector in your vicinity. The normal day for inspections is Friday, but occasionally visits may occur other days as well. If no one is at home when the data collector arrives, a card will be left to let you know he was there. If he needs to get into your house or has a question, a card will be left asking you to call the Listers office. At this time, it is unclear when the next reappraisal will be, as the town Common Level of Appraisal remains at 99.22%. If you have any questions about the process, please call the Listers office at 425-3855.
