Make a Splash & Read! Summer Reading Program 2010.
Make friends with a turtle during our Kick Off to Summer Reading on Thursday, June 24, at 10:30 a.m. We’ll have treats to eat, bookmarks to create, and, of course, the summer reading program to join. Readers of all ages can join and keep track of their reading progress over the summer. Pre-readers are welcome to sign up to log the books they enjoyed hearing through the summer months.
June 28-July 2: Our week of Ocean Exploits! DIY Craft: “Net” a Fish.
Summer Reading Story Time Begins Tuesday, June 29, at 10:30 a.m. with Motion in the Ocean Story Time: Who’s down there below the ocean blue? Discover some of the creatures beneath the waves. Ages 3 to 5 with parent or caregiver.
Wednesday, June 30 at 3 p.m., Movie Time: Finding Nemo.
Cool off and enjoy an undersea adventure with Nemo on the ocean reef. Popcorn and lemonade served. All ages (under 10 with parent or caregiver.)
Thursday, July 1 at 10:30 a.m., Kids Mission: Tropical Treasures!
After testing your ichthyologic (that’s fishy) knowledge with I.D. games, make your own tropical wonders to save the oceans. Ages 6 to 10.
