March is National Women’s History Month.
From battlegrounds to baseball fields to Barbie playhouses, the activities and achievements of women and girls are being added back into the annals of American history. Learn about the place of women in the thread of American history with the National Women’s History Project. Project information and books celebrating women’s history are on display all month at the Library!
After School Program: Spring Green, Monday, March 29, 3 to 4:30 p.m.
Spring springs on March 20, and everyone is ready for green on the trees. Sign up for a seasonal celebration and create your own terrarium to welcome a little spring green into your home. For children grades 1 to 4. registration is required. Please call the library to sign up. Children must bring a note to CCS giving them permission to ride the bus to the library after school.
Teen Advisory Board: March Munchies, March 15, 5:30 p.m.
We’ll be making sub sandwiches for dinner then baking up some yummy cookies for dessert, thanks to a delicious donation from Cookie Love in North Ferrisburgh. Bring yourself, a friend and some ideas for activities to keep TAB going into spring.
March….in like a lion…to spring story time!
Our spring story time session begins March 17 and runs through April 21 on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. It is suitable for children ages 3 to 5 who are comfortable in a story time setting with or without a parent or caregiver. Space is limited, and registration is required. Please call the library to sign up: 425-3864.
March Do-It-Yourself Craft at the Library: Origami Menagerie
March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb. Create your own lion, lamb or other animal using beautiful Japanese paper. You can even make a box to take them home in! Origami paper and instructions can be found at the DIY table all month long.
DON’T FORGET! After School at the Library: Mondays, 3 to 5 p.m.
Join us for games, snacks and even a chance to get some homework done! We’re here every Monday – if you are in 4th through 6th grade you can be, too!
