Gardening Program: Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m.
It is time to think about gardening. Norman Pellett will lead a discussion of Gardening Questions and Answers at the Charlotte Library. He will present his new book, Gardening Quiz Book, which will be available for purchase for those who wish. Examples of questions: What does pruning do to plants? How do plants survive winter? What do earthworms eat? What does perennial really mean? You can bring your own questions too. This lively session should be entertaining as well as educational. Norman hopes to inspire a vigorous discussion.
Pellett is Professor Emeritus, University of Vermont, where he taught horticulture classes, provided outreach education, and conducted research for 29 years. He enjoys vegetable, flower and landscape gardening at his home in Charlotte.
