Lonely Mittens? We’re building an “art” exhibit of solo mittens to decorate the Children’s Room. Bring in your mateless mittens to add to our display. Mittens can be dropped off during Library Hours beginning December 5.
NEW YEAR, NEW STORY TIME SESSION! Sign ups are underway for the Winter Story Time Session of songs, crafts, stories and fun!
• Pre-K Story Time: Mondays at 1 p.m, beginning January 12.
• Preschool Story Time: Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., beginning January 13.
Don’t forget about the other great kids’ programs:
• Move & Groove with Ellen Bosworth: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., beginning January 7.
• Playgroup Story Time: Thursdays at 10 a.m., beginning January 8.
TEEN ADVISORY BOARD BEGINS! Looking for good books? We’re looking for you if you’re between 12 and 15 years old. Join us for the first Teen Advisory Board Meeting and share YOUR great books, ideas and whatever.

Book Discussion Groups
• The fall/winter book discussion series, “Influential First Ladies,” continues on Thursday, January 8, with discussion of Mary Todd Lincoln, A Biography by Jean H. Baker. Copies can be borrowed from the library.
• The final session of the series on February 12 will focus on Eleanor Roosevelt. Copies of Eleanor Roosevelt: Volume 2, The Defining Years, 1933-1938 are also available at the library.
• Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. at the library and include light refreshments. The series is sponsored by the Friends of the Charlotte Library and the Vermont Humanities Council, and Lesley Wright is the discussion facilitator.
All are welcome to join us for one or all of the sessions. The library is handicapped accessible, and there is no charge for the programs.
