Mediation Resolves Inn at the Old Lantern Issues - Project May Now Move Forward
Mediation Resolves Inn at the Old Lantern Issues - Project May Now Move Forward
January 22, 2011.....

A lengthy mediation session on January 21 has led to agreement among the parties to a list of conditions that may allow the construction of the Inn at the Old Lantern to move forward.

The agreement is on the Selectboard's agenda for approval Monday night. It also goes to the Planning Commission, after a landscaping plan is developed and approved by the parties.

The mediation was an effort to resolve the appeal of the Planning Commissions' approval last fall of the Inn Project. The applicants for the Inn are Lisa and Roland Gaujac, owners of the Old Lantern. The appeal was brought by neighbors Michael and Karen Frost, who were concerned about, among other issues, the size of the Inn and its impact on the area, including the publicly owned land on Barber Hill.
