Shelburne Charlotte Hinesburg Interfaith Projects (SCHIP) is the three-community, ten faith community nonprofit that sells gently used clothing and homegoods to raise grant funds for special projects that benefit local groups and neighbors.

Schip has a new grant application form designed to make the application process clearer and to ensure that all necessary information is included. Since it began making grants in 2005, SCHIP granted more than $227,000 for projects ranging from support for local emergency food shelves to making adaptive renovations to the home of a disabled neighbor.

The grants are made three times a year with the next application deadline on May 30. The new application forms can be picked up at SCHIP’s Treasure Resale Shop at 5404 Shelburne Road next to the Shelburne Town Center. The forms are also available digitally from schipgrant@myfairpoint.net. The digital version can be submitted digitally as well. The directions for applications have been updated; it is recommended that all grant applicants familiarize themselves with the new directions.
