Thank you for the donation
Under the supervision of Carolyn Howard, the following youth scoured the roadsides for recyclable and refundable items and in turn donated the proceeds to the library: Lanie Beaudin, Katie Bedel, Mason Cohn, Danny Greenblatt, Aryn Hall, George Howard, Laurel Jaunich, Sadie Otley and Dustin St. George. A book was purchased for the large print collection thanks to their hard work and generous donations.

Kid’s summer kicks off with green theme.
Despite the rain and gloomy weather, there were sunny faces and solar-powered brownies for the Summer Reading Kick-off at the Charlotte Library on Thursday, June 18. Over 60 parents and children stopped by to sign up for the Summer Reading Program and to enjoy some do-it-yourself lemonade and brownies baked by Jenny Cole in the solar oven she constructed for the library. The “green” theme continued as Kimberly Hagen from the Vermont Energy Education Program enlightened patrons of all ages about the importance of using energy wisely and efficiently. The bicycle electricity generator, pedaled by Hadley Murphy, Rayona Silverman and others, stole the show.
The fun and festivities continue at the library through the month of July. Don’t miss the following programs – and remember it’s never too late to sign up for the Summer Reading Program.
