We are going to East Charlotte for a HALLOWEEN STORY TIME!

Meet us at Spear’s Corner Store (corner of Spear Street and Hinesburg Road) for a fun and festive look at our favorite pumpkin holiday!
DISGUISES! October 23, 10:30 a.m. to noon
Learn some new tricks with make-up and costume technique…just in time for Halloween! Suggested ages: Kindergarten and up. Pizza lunch following our costume parade! Registration required. Please call the library at 425-3864 to sign up.
STORIES, SONGS & CRAFTS…Sound Like Fun?
Then, join us for the next Story Time session at the Charlotte Library! In a “kids-only” space, children have a chance to explore new books and old favorites along with related activities.
Pre-K & Kindergarten: Mondays AT 1 p.m.

Preschool Story Time: Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m.

VERMONT READS BOOK DISCUSSION: 7 p.m., November 11, at the Charlotte Library
Jim and Kathy Manchester will lead an informal discussion of A Restless Spirit: The Story of Robert Frost by Natalie Bober, the Vermont Reads selection for 2008. Bring your books, questions and favorite poems to share as we delve into Frost’s life and work. Please call the library for more information, 425-3864. Light refreshments will be provided.
Charlotte Community Playgroup Story Time: Thursdays at 10 a.m. beginning October 16!
Ages newborn to five-ish and their caregivers, parents, grandparents, nannies, au pairs. No registration necessary. The format will be open to free exploration of the room and books based on the library story time and activity. Weather permitting, we can move out to the porch and town green! On Exhibit – Texture of Place
Photographer Matt Kiedaisch brings the outdoors in through an explosion of color and size. The 3X2 foot photos offer the viewer an opportunity to experience nature up close and in detail. His photographs were shot in western United States and in Vermont. Matt studied at UVM and with a number of photographers throughout the United States. Matt is the son of John Kiedaisch, one of the architectural designers of the Charlotte Library.
