VERMONT READS! CHARLOTTE READS!
September 17 at 7 p.m: Kick-off at Charlotte Library
Pick up your copy of the Vermont Reads selection for 2008, A Restless Spirit: The Story of Robert Frost. Enjoy music, poetry and fall refreshments.

September 15 through September 19 at 7:50 a.m.: VPR airs a special five-part series featuring different aspects of Robert Frost’s life and work in addition to samples of his poetry from the book.  Listen at 7:50 a.m. during Morning Edition for Vermont Reads: Robert Frost.

September 23: Community Field Trip to the Robert Frost
Interpretive Trail
Middle-school students from Charlotte Central School and interested members of the Charlotte community will take a tour along the Robert Frost Interpretive Trail. Sign up at the Senior Center, 425-6345.

TBA: Natural History of Robert Frost: CCS
Michael Clough from Rockhopper Outdoor Education will lead an exploration of the natural history that defined much of Frost’s poetry.

November 19 at 10:30 a.m.: Poetry Celebration
Community poets, including CCS students, will read their Frost-inspired works in celebration of Vermont Reads in Charlotte.

Ongoing: Robert Frost’s New England
The library hosts an exhibit of photographs by Betsy and Tom Melvin inspired by the writings of Robert Frost and his view of man and the natural world.
