If this is your first visit to The Charlotte News website, here are some suggestions about how to use it.  Summaries of articles from our most recent issue and current news are on the home page. Click where it says "more" for the complete article. Past articles and special sections can be accessed using the menu to the left. Once you register on the site you will be able to use "search" and have access to the calendar to see listings by others, and to post your organization's events. We invite you to come often to check for breaking news and other postings between our bi-weekly publication dates.

Deadlines & Publication Schedule: The Charlotte News is published 24 times a year.  We come out every other week with two breaks: one in mid-summer and one between Christmas and New Year's. Deadlines for articles, photographs and advertising are the Thursdays one week prior to publication dates. The deadline for letters is 10 a.m. on the Monday of the week of publication.
