Free Seeds to Plant A Row for the Food Shelf

As you plan your gardens this spring, please see if you can set aside one row to harvest for the Charlotte Food Shelf. The Sunday School children of the Charlotte Congregational Church will be handing out free seeds on May 8 this year to encourage people to plant a row for the Charlotte Food Shelf. It made a big difference for the Food Shelf last year, and we would like to encourage this again. Vermont’s High Mowing Organic Seed Company has again generously donated the seeds for this Plant-A-Row initiative.
The kids have also started some tomato, onion and pepper seeds and hope to have free plants to give out on May 8 as well. The children will hand out seeds and plants after the service on May 8, around 11 a.m., outdoors at the front of the church. Any questions can be directed to Elizabeth Berger at cccsundayschool@gmavt.net. Thanks for helping grow vegetables for the local food shelf. Please note the change in date to May 8 for giving out the seeds. Any extra seeds will be available for pick-up through May 15 at the church office.
