Food Shelf News
Great News! The Charlotte Food Shelf received a $2,500 grant from SCHIP, $2,000 of which will be used for fuel assistance this winter. The additional $500 will be used to purchase warm winter boots for children via the Hand Me Down program managed by Laura Inglehart.
The Vermont Foodbank has announced that during the winter months, two to three cases of free food will be delivered to food shelves in addition to regular monthly orders. This will help fortify supplies during the high demand months. Kudos to the food bank for their foresight.
