Food Shelf News
In addition to supplying food, this winter the Food Shelf has helped struggling families purchase heating fuel and pay electric bills (to avoid having the power shut off). This type of direct community-based assistance is possible because of the ongoing support from people in our community. Your thoughtful donations of food, supplies and funds make a big difference and are very much appreciated!
Currently on the Food Shelf wish list are: canned fruit, tomato soup, crackers, dog and cat food.
The Feinstein Challenge to End Hunger will take place in February and March. A portion of every donation will be matched by this challenge grant. More information to come in the next FS update.
The Food Shelf is looking for a volunteer to manage the food drive box at the Charlotte Central School during February and March. This food drive is a part of the Feinstein Challenge to End Hunger. A portion of every donation will be matched by the Feinstein Challenge Grant. If you are interested or need more info, please contact Karen Doris at 425-3252.
The Food Shelf thank you list continued...
