A big thank you to John Lavigne for helping out with food distribution, Barbara Zimmerman and Cindy Robinson for shopping at Costco, William Hall, Lisa Poirer, and Betty Ryan for bargain shopping, and Marilyn Holmberg, Sharon Weaver and Tammey Hall for maintaining our milk program.
A special thanks to Lynn Alpeter, Nancy Bloch and Lisa Poirier for Foodbank ordering and food management.
Our “Plant a Row” program is being organized by Elizabeth Berger. She collected seed packets and is making them available to people who would like to plant an extra row in their garden to supply the Food Shelf with fresh veggies this summer. The seeds are available at the Charlotte Congregational Church.
The next distribution will be April 22. Lisa Poirier is working on “Dinner In a Bag” which will include all the ingredients for making a simple healthy meal of chicken parmesan.
All non-perishable food donations may be dropped off at the Charlotte Congregational Church vestry, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (main entrance) or at the Food Shelf during the distribution mornings.
The Charlotte Food Shelf is located on the lower level of the Charlotte Congregational Church vestry.
If you would like to donate fresh garden veggies, perishable foods, or foods that require refrigeration, it is best to drop these at the food shelf by 7:15 a.m. the mornings of distribution. If this time is not convenient for you, you may call Lisa at 425-2952 to arrange a mutually convenient drop-off time.
The Charlotte Food Shelf is open from 7:30-9 a.m. on the following Thursdays for food distribution:
May 13 & 27, June 10 & 24,
July 8 & 22, Aug. 12 & 26

Emergency Food - Call Lisa at 425-2952
More information - Call Karen at 425-3252

Thanks again to everyone who supports the Food Shelf and helps us get this important work accomplished. Happy spring!
