A big “thank you” to the Shelburne Supermarket for donating 25 pounds of stew meat. And thanks to Deb Stone for the donation of rice and hot dogs. We would also like to thank Senior Class President Taylor Thibault at Rice High School who delivered food collected during Catholic Schools Week to our Food Shelf. This Food Drive benefited Charlotte, Shelburne, South Burlington and many of the Chittenden County Food shelves.
We would also like to acknowledge Shelburne Supermarket, W. J. Deutsch and G. Housen for teaming up to give back to the community. For all sales made between now and March 31 of 750 ml bottles of Esser, Patch Block, Columbia Winery, Yellow Tail and Gary Farrell wines, W.J. Deutsch will donate $1 to the Shelburne/Charlotte Food Shelves. With this project, Shelburne Supermarket is encouraging a sense of hometown pride and neighbors helping neighbors. In appreciation of its customers, Shelburne Supermarket has brought the prices down to take advantage of this pilot program in the State of Vermont. Please enjoy a bottle of wine and know that some of that purchase price goes toward strengthening our community roots.
All food donations may be dropped off at the Charlotte Congregational Church vestry, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (main entrance) or at the Food Shelf during the distribution mornings.
Please remember your Food Shelf is here and stocked with nutritious food for your family. It’s located on the lower level of the Charlotte Congregational Church vestry.
