Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets for the beautiful quilt made by Tammy Hall of Charlotte and Hannah Deming of West Addison. The drawing took place on February 14, and Lynn Perrin was the lucky winner! In addition, Buster Olney, senior writer at ESPN The Magazine and a baseball analyst for ESPN, signed and sold copies of his latest book, How Lucky You Can Be, in Burlington at the Burlington Bay restaurant on Battery Street January 23 on behalf of the Charlotte Food Shelf to help raise money for heating assistance. Buster’s book is about Coach Don Meyer and his epiphanies after a critical car crash in 2008. The raffle and the book signing raised $1,366 for the Charlotte Food Shelf heating assistance fund.
