CVU Madrigal Singers
Serenade at the Senior Center
Champlain Valley Union High School’s Madrigal Singers presented a musically diverse concert to about 35 people at the Senior Center last week. Many audience members moved across the hall after enjoying a tasty and colorful desserts at the Wednesday luncheons.
The Madrigals, directed by CVU music teacher Carl Recchia of Charlotte, sang a set of close harmonies that celebrate the holiday season across nations and religions. In introducing the group, Recchia noted that this year he purposely balanced its membership among the high school classes so as not to lose everything at graduation as happened last year.
