Charlotte-Essex Ferry Still Ice-bound

The ice continues to prevent cross-lake trips by the ferry. According to a press release from the Lake Champlain Transportation Col, they made a test run at the Charlotte, VT - Essex, NY crossing, but determined the ice is still too thick (10" - 12")to run. They said they will continue to monitor the conditions daily, and will notify the public of any new changes through their e-mail/text notification system.
