Charlotte-Essex Ferry Running One Boat on the Hour

After running two boats with half hour service since before Memorial Day weekend, the Lake Champlain Transportation Co. just announced that service will be reduced, leaving Charlotte on the hour from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Here is the press release sent out this afternoon:

The Charlotte, VT - Essex, NY ferry crossing will run 1 boat service beginning Wednesday, June 1st until further notice (possibly through Saturday, June 4th). Departures from VT 6:00 am - 8:00 pm. Departures from NY 6:30 am - 8:30 pm. Departures every hour.
