CCS Staff and Teachers Treated to Lunch by PTO

We love our teachers! That was the message conveyed by the CCS PTO at the annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, May 11. One of the bright new classrooms in the just-completed wing was the surprise location.
“More than 40 parents worked together to create a beautiful luncheon in the new building for all the CCS staff,” said Edorah Frazer, a member of the CCS School Board and one of the organizers of the event. She added, “As they dined, each staff member was given a bud vase of flowers. Meanwhile, students were enthusiastically writing ‘Appreciation Mail’ to teachers and staff during their lunch. By the end of the final lunch period, more than 700 thank you notes had been sorted into staff mailboxes by parent volunteers. It was a lovely day, with smiles all around!”
The school newsletter for the week included this response from the staff:
