CCS Graduation and Congratulations to Middle Level Award Recipients and Honor Roll

CCS Graduation

Graduation was a gala affair on June 16. The 8th grade students were decked out in their graduation duds, the girls beautiful in party dresses and the boys looking smart in suits and ties. Some had spent ten years at CCS, and were thrilled to be moving on to the next stage of their education. The gym was beautifully decorated with donated flowers, and cameras flashed as diplomas were received.
After light fare in the multi-purpose room, the proud parents and guests moved into the gymnasium to watch the Charlotte Cub Scout Troop Honor Guard present the flag and the procession of graduates. Co-principal Audrey Boutaugh welcomed everyone, and the CCS staff sang to the graduates. The student speaker was Maggie Haesler, recipient of the Charlotte Humanitarian Award and a President’s Award for Academic Excellence. Diplomas were presented by School Board Chair Lynne Jaunich.
After the ceremony, the students celebrated with their final CCS dance.
