THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20
The Haunted Forest, 6 – 10 p.m., Catamount Outdoor Family Center, Williston. Event dates are October 20-22 and October 27-29. Sat. Oct. 29 will include matinee shows for children. Check website for show times. Tickets: $12.50 for evening performances, $8.50 for matinee. Tickets do sell out, so get yours early at the Alpine Shop or at thehauntedforest.org.
Oh! O.Henry, 7 p.m., Lake Champlain Waldorf School, 359 Turtle Lane, Shelburne. Eric Foxman brings his one-man performance of short story masterpieces to Vermont to benefit LCWS. Vermont French-Canadian Genealogical Society Fall Conference, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., St. John Vianney Parish Hall, 160 Hinesburg Road, So. Burlington. The public is invited for an exciting line up of speakers including Vermont historians, Willard Randall and Elise Guyette; $20/person; lunch can be purchased on site. Lactic-Acid Fermentation Workshop, 2 – 4 p.m., Charlotte Senior Center. Nutritional culinary specialist and author, Louise Frazier, will show how to preserve the harvest without canning and enhance the nutritional value of food. 2nd annual Monster Bash, 7 – 11:30 p.m., The Old Lantern, Charlotte. All proceeds go to the Mahana Magic Foundation which supports children of parents with cancer. Evening fun includes a haunted house,

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Chittenden Country collection sites include: Price Chopper parking lot on Shelburne Road and the University Mall parking lot in South Burlington. Halloween Bike Ride, 2 p.m., City Hall Park, Burlington. Shared Streets Not Scared Streets - 
Join hundreds of riders for a rolling Halloween costume party! The police-escorted parade winds through downtown and the Old North End, and ends with a Halloween party at Maglianero Cafe, 47 Maple St. This is a family friendly, all ages event and open to bikers, walkers, skateboarders and in-liners.
