to Molly Wiggins, a student at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, New Hampshire, who earned placement on the Dean’s List for the spring semester 2009. She received High Honors.

to Ethan Bond-Watts whose metal and glass sculpture was selected to be shown at the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe as part of the annual outdoor art and sculpture exhibit, “Exposed!” The exhibit officially opened on Friday and will run into the fall.
to David Miskell, who was featured in an article in the Business Section of the New York Times on July 1. The article focused on Miskell’s work to produce vegetable gardens in the South Village development project in South Burlington. He will replenish the soil with nitrogen in order to grow greens, root crops and sunflowers this year. Once in the Times, David, does this mean coat and tie from now on?
to Nancy and Hoyt Barringer, owners of Jamie Two-Coats Toyshop who are moving their enterprise into a larger location in the former Pierson Library building on the green in Shelburne. According to an article in the Shelburne News, “Now Jamie’s will have enough room to run, skip, hop, jump and even go outside to play.”
to Martha and Stephen Edwards, who were featured in an article in the Champlain Business Journal noting that the local precious metals industry is surviving despite the tough economy. Charlotte residents, the Edwards are owners of Vermont Coin and Jewelry in Shelburne.
to David Blittersdorf, CEO of Williston-based Earth Turbines, who was featured in the July 5 Burlington Free Press in an article discussing the future of wind energy. According to the piece, Earth Turbines currently has 12 test turbines operating in Vermont with another 25 to be started this year. The company has also agreed to construct hybrid wind/cell/wireless-broadband towers for use throughout the state.
to Nate Carr, local craftsman and owner of Church Hill Landscapes for having a stone masonry project appear in the September 2009 Fine Home Building Magazine.

is extended to family and friends of Henry William Koch of Scarborough, Maine, who passed away June 25 at the age of 83. Bill was father of the late Randy Koch of Charlotte and grandfather of Randy’s children, Collin, Christopher and Gillian. Those wishing to send condolences may do so to his wife, Doris Koch, 1 Bessey School Drive, Apt. 3, Scarborough, Maine 04074. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 U.S. Route One, Scarborough, Maine 04074.
is extended to family and friends of Elizabeth Richer of North Ferrisburgh, who passed away July 9 at the age of 73. An active member of the Charlotte/North Ferrisburgh homemakers extension clubs, she leaves among surviving family her brother George and his wife Patricia Lavalette of Charlotte.
