Anything New at the Post Office?
Anything New at the Post Office?
by Edd Merritt,
November 17, 2011, page 5.....

Having heard that the Charlotte Post Office lease expires in 2013, The News spoke with Shirley LeBoeuf, Executor for the LeBoeuf family trust, which owns the Post Office building. We learned that there are no immediate plans to either put the building up for sale or close it. The LeBoeufs do not plan to take any action until they hear that the Postal Service will sever its lease. The family does not have a specific alternate use in mind; and at this point in time, the Charlotte P.O. is not one that the postal service says it will close in order to consolidate its operations elsewhere. Given rapid changes in the current state of communication and technology, maintaining the economies of mail service will govern the decision.
